Our organization would not exist without the hundreds of hours our dedicated team of volunteers contributes to the Cumberland County Hospice and Palliative Care Society each year.

Are you looking to join a group of individuals dedicated to showing compassionate care and support to people who are dying or grieving the loss of a loved one?
We are looking for compassionate men and women to join our team to help support those of our county who are journeying through Palliative Care, facing a terminal illness, or coping with loss. This is where one resident helps another, because every moment matters.
We offer a wide range of services to support patients and their families, including pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual counseling, caregiver education, and support.
Each potential volunteer is interviewed and screened to ensure our organization can support their goals and expectations. All volunteers must provide an up-to-date criminal record check. Once an application is accepted, every volunteer receives thorough orientation and training to prepare them for their role.
Submit an Application for review to our Volunteer Visitation Supervisor.
Complete Introductory Screening Interview at the request of the Supervisor to ensure you're a good fit.
Complete the Volunteer Training Program.
A paper copy of the application can be obtained by contacting the Volunteer Visitation Supervisor at (902)660-2310
